The Good Wife's Guide.

Krishnapriya finds a gem while looking for good housekeeping tips. Any of you want to try? ;)

My personal favorite point is this one:

Minimize all noise. At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise of the washer, dryer or vacuum. Encourage the children to be quiet.

Any one seen the old sitcoms? Be it I love Lucy or Leave it to Beaver or I love Genie, it is a word to word reproduction of the good wife's guide. Pumping up the male ego so much that it is on the verge of explosion!

If I tried any of that, I would be suspected of having an affair ! :-)

I am glad they didnot suggest any other way of relieving the tension :).

"Arrange his pillows and take off his shoes"
Thatz only when drunk.

My favourite - "A good wife always knows her place"! - Is it the Shoe stand?

Reminds me of the Stepford Wives movie. Must have been inspired from this list!

Nice find Krishnapriya. Great (though irritatingly funny) read.

I remember coming across this list recently while searching for material for a paper I had to write. It IS hilarious!!

By the way, what do you all mean "must HAVE BEEN a good time for men..."?? It is still a good time to be a man in my MIL's house :P Poor hubby - he doesn't live there any more :( LOL

Boo, after reading this post, I read an essay pointed to me by Brownie, which seemed related to this post, but on a more serious note.

PS: May not be appropriate on a Mom blog.

Technology really has become completely integrated to our existence, and I can say with 99% certainty that we have passed the point of no return in our relationship with technology.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Ethical concerns aside... I just hope that as technology further advances, the possibility of transferring our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's a fantasy that I daydream about all the time.
